Exitmusic Battles Inner Demons In Arresting New Video : NPR

In the band’s latest video, singer Aleksa Palladino embraces and then drowns her own likeness in a dark and strange struggle with herself. The gorgeously shot short film is a transfixing exploration of rage, fear and despair.

Timelessness has long been key to She & Him’s charm, and indeed, Volume 3 seems to be floating through AM speakers at all times. Stream Volume 3 now. Am I Making Waves?

I find my edge and take one more step. I fall. I get back up. I ride a train that feels like it’s speeding off into the distance, and I cannot tell where it’s taking me. I just know I have to be on this train. This One, not that one. The One that takes me to the other end of the world.

The One where my bed is empty at night.
